For this gorgeous Tudor home on Cleveland Avenue in the western section of Princeton, our clients wanted a space defined by elegant ease—something familiar, yet distinctly sophisticated. Since our clients' primary residence is in Florida, they have an eye for playful interiors with layered textures, colors, and patterns.
We wove new elements into the home's historical features, namely the stucco exterior, working fireplaces, and a sweeping staircase. Throughout the remodel and design process, we focused on keeping the space dynamic and fun, as it serves as a central meeting place for the clients, their adult children, and extended family nearby.
Blue and beige dominate the palette in plush velvets, cashmere rugs, textured wallpapers, and warm woods. Contrasting these soft elements are black accents found throughout, grounding the grand, pattern-filled spaces while providing visual depth and whimsy through their unique, standout forms.
